MT Hands

Michael Turner aka MT Hands, singer/songwriter was born and raised in the Bayous and Mississippi River Parishes of Louisiana. Started playing saxophone in grade school & played through high school. Graduating from high school he attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA where he joined the prestigious & popular R&B/Pop Buddy Stewart Band's horn section. He joined the U.S. Navy later where he was introduced to guitar by a fellow sailor. After leaving the Navy he attended SD Mesa JC to study music and sang in the school choir. He was vocalist/guitarist in a local band The Lyrien that played original music, most of which he wrote. Since leaving The Lyrien he has been performing as a solo artist at local events. He has deep roots in R&B, Blues & Jazz with Pop, Folk & Alternative influences.--
