Coffee on the Moon

Len Guerzon singer/songwriter/guitarist ; Vicky Jans singer/songwriter/guitarist ; Don Wenskay saxophones, Dean Pauley bass

These four comprise this quartet with a unique instrumental line-up... guitars, bass, and alto and soprano saxophone. As Len put it : " songwriter duo's or trio's usually have the lead instrumental duties performed by a guitarist so why not change it up and use the saxophone instead ! " And that role is aptly filled by Don who by day is a mild-mannered copyright attorney, but by night wails on his horn with the best of them. He has performed in a diversity of genre from jazz to avant garde and now Coffee on the Moon pop. Len and Vicky share the singer/songwriter duties with Vicky leaning more towards rock and Len with his influences more toward the mellow or funky side of the musical spectrum. In fact, their shared passion for the craft of songwriting led them to the same songwriting group where they met; later recording together and eventually forming Coffee on the Moon. They both have performed either as solo artists or in conjunction with different bands. Vicky's experience spans the gamut from touring with a show band to leading her original music duo to a successful stint as a solo performer. Len has also had an assortment of musical adventures starting from his days as a bassist in a rock band to being a worship leader at his church to leading different line-ups featuring his original music as well as a solo performer. Dean Pauley their bassist , the newest member, hails from Texas where he's played in an assortment of different groups from country to rock. He's well versed in fretless, electric and upright bass. Steve Michaelson ; a studio veteran....... though not an official member; has played drums/percussion on nearly all of Len's studio projects and lends his talent to these first COTM recordings. These musicians have an inherent love for music and their shared joy is infectious in their performances. Who knew that we would ever have a man on the moon let alone.... COFFEE ON THE MOON !
