Tasting Room and award-winning Witch Creek Winery is located in Carlsbad, CA directly on the historic Highway 101 a block from the beach and the Coaster. Founded in 1993, our boutique winery focuses on quality over quantity, by producing small-lot,handcrafted wines using traditional winemaking techniques. The result is full-bodied well balanced wines rich in flavor that have earned many medals over the years at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and Orange County Wine Competition. Witch Creek prides itself on being your source of some of the more unique and harder to find domestically produced varietals,such as Nebbiolo, Teroldego and Montepulciano.The Carlsbad tasting room is located on site at the winery (just one block from the beach!). Just an hour's drive east of San Diego you'll find our Julian tasting room. Nestled up in the mountains of the historic gold-mining town, Julian is one of Southern California's premier mountain retreats. Just off Highways 78 and 79, Julian is a great place to visit any time of the year. Many town buildings date back to the gold rush days of the 1870’s. You can tour the town in a horse-drawn carriage or step out for a hike and picnic with some Witch Creek Wine. Be sure to visit during the Fall Apple Harvest. This quiet town becomes the bustling gold rush town of old. The gold in the form of apple pie, cider and our Award-Winning Wines will please the palate.
